puppy being vaccinated

The early stages of your pet’s life are crucial to their development and their health. It may be easy to get lost in the excitement of a new puppy or kitten, so it’s important to get all your bases covered before you get to know your new friend.

Screenings

Some pets are born with conditions that can lead to pretty big problems later on, but catching them early can greatly mitigate or prevent the problem altogether. We do our best to ensure that their development is clear of any obstacles. We also test for parasites and give specific treatments to clear these from your beloved new family member.

Vaccinations

Younger pets may be far more susceptible to disease than adult ones. The good news is that a great deal of these diseases are totally preventable. At Animal Health Centre, vaccinations are given with a gentle touch to ensure that your puppy or kitten is safeguarded from the most common of threats.

Vaccinations need to start at 6 weeks or until they are at least 15 weeks old. That also gives us the opportunity to discuss common behavioral challenges and how to avoid them.

Education

We get to see your pets during their visits in the clinic. You are the one who sees them every day at home. So, you are the one who really needs to know how to care for them. From their very first checkup, we will equip you with all the tools you need to take care of your pet, and most importantly, the knowledge.

Taking the necessary time to ensure that you understand your pet’s needs is our priority. This includes:

  • Diet
  • Behavior
  • Vaccinations

We will make sure you are as ready as possible to give your pet the very best care. Contact us with any questions or to make an appointment.
